We hope you will join us to deepen the important stakeholder conversation about how to build farm and ranch-based resiliency in Texas and elsewhere in our age of increasing weather extremes.
Thank you for attending the Texas Drought Summit

Experts from farm-based organizations

  • National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), Southwest
  • Sustainable Food Center, Austin
  • TOFGA and national advocates and disaster response experts
  • Rural Advancement Foundation International-USA (RAFI-USA)
  • Farmers Legal Action Group (FLAG)
bring farmers, ranchers and service providers together to focus on immediate needs as well as building long-term resilience.
Goals for the Summit
  • to connect producers with disaster-assistance services in Texas and nationally;
  • to strengthen the network of disaster-assistance service providers in Texas and nationally;
  • to provide a space for sharing experiences and lessons learned (to date) from the ongoing Texas drought; and
  • to identify disaster-related service gaps and inefficiencies as well as steps to correct them.
These workshops will focus on building resilience (biological, social, and economic), water-related issues, and preparing for increasing weather extremes.
