What's New At The Conference This Year?
Christine, moved to Texas as soon as she could, but was born in Argentina, raised in Brasil, of British parents, came to the US for college and worked in several countries as an ag commodities trader.
When she arrived in Texas 24 years ago, as a Mother on a mission to grow nutrient-dense food to heal her family, Christine began homesteading in 2001, which transitioned to full time ranching in 2015 and has never looked back. “Faced with failures and the subsequent high cost of unsuccessful farming and ranching practices, a Holistic Management International course became a turning point, offering Christine a new perspective and community.”
Embracing holistic and regenerative practices, Christine now has a thriving operation raising cattle, turkeys and chickens year round and an assortment of egg layer chickens in Oakwood, Texas using them to restore ecosystem functions on her land. Within 2 years of implementing these practices when she moved to Oakwood, she was able to triple her carrying capacity!
She direct sells to consumers, hosts ranch to table dinners Argentine style, ranch tours and workshops at
her ranch in Oakwood. “Everything on the ranch is viewed holistically, making sure the environment, the social interactions and the finances are all in balance and healthy, using regenerative agricultural practices." Working as rancher, coach and Holistic Management International Certified Educator, Christine is ready and eager to share her experiences and lessons learned.
