Scholarship for the 2015 TOFGA Conference and Farm Aid Drought Summit Events (Application Deadline Extended to January 29, 2015)

Who can apply?
The Drought Summit & TOFGA Conference Scholarship is aimed at producers whose farming and ranching operations have been affected by the drought or other natural disasters in recent years and who will benefit from attending these two events.
Scholarships are open to fruit and vegetables producers, diversified producers, and ranchers of all kind. Applicants do not have to be TOFGA members nor do they need to be organic or sustainable producers.
What does the scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers registration for the TOFGA conference (January 30-31, 2015) and funds to cover travel up to $150. Scholarship recipients are expected to also attend the Farm Aid Texas Drought Summit on January 29, 2015.
How much is the scholarship?
This scholarship provides a 2015 TOFGA Annual Conference registration and up to $150 in travel funds.
What can the travel funds be used for?
Up to $150 may be used to cover expenses for travel to the Drought Summit and TOFGA Conference. Appropriate use of funds would be fuel for travel to and from San Antonio, airfare, hotel costs at the conference or nearby hotel, family farmers in agriculture. Recipients will receive travel funds when they arrive at the Drought Summit.
Do I have to repay this money?
Funds do not have to be repaid. Participants, though, may be asked to share his or her experience of the Drought Summit and TOFGA Conference.
