Join us for the 2018 TOFGA Conference!

The Annual TOFGA Conference will take place at the beautiful new Sheraton Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center in Georgetown, TX. See our great lineup of speakers and sessions The conference includes two days of learning sessions plus multiple add-on pre-conference activities. Hundreds of farmers, farm supporters, and gardening enthusiasts are expected to attend from all over Texas!

We’re especially excited - 2018 is TOFGA’s 25th Anniversary! We’ll be celebrating 25 years of learning, networking, sharing, and building community throughout the event.

Texas Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (TOFGA) is a statewide non-profit organization supporting farmers, ranchers, and gardeners who produce organic and sustainable food and fiber in Texas. With a focus on education and community, TOFGA promotes the many benefits of organic agriculture and encourages its use throughout Texas.

Conference Schedule

The conference kicks off on Thursday evening at 5:00 pm and concludes on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm. Registration opens both Friday and Saturday at 7:30 am. The full conference schedule will be posted shortly. In the meantime, be sure to plan for the following:

  • Thursday Pre-Conference Workshops & Farm Tours (Registration for pre-conference events is separate and not included in the full conference registration.)

  • Conference Welcome Reception - Thursday 5-7 pm - Join the TOFGA Board of Directors, Staff, Sponsors, & Exhibitors in the Exhibit Area for mixing, mingling, and a cash bar. UPDATE: Georgetown Mayor Dale Ross will be in attendance to welcome all conference participants!  Under his leadership, Georgetown now runs on 100% renewable energy!  

  • Annual TOFGA Seed Swap, after the Thursday welcome reception 

  • Friday morning breakfast and opening plenary at 8:15 am - Friday breakfast is included in registration!
  • TOFGA Regional Meetings (Friday lunch hour) & TOFGA Members Meeting (Friday afternoon)
  • Annual Banquet Dinner - Friday evening, farm-to-table dinner included, cash bar. Keynote by Michael Abelman.  Don't miss this wonderful annual celebration!  Farm & Food Trivia will follow!

Location & Lodging Information - Discounted rate extended to Thurs., Jan. 11!

We are excited to host our conference in Georgetown, Texas at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center! This beautiful new hotel is located next to the San Gabriel River and convenient to Georgetown's historic downtown. We have a special TOFGA room rate of $119 per night if reserved by Jan. 11. Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in volunteering?  Volunteers receive a discounted conference registration ($50) in exchange for 6-8 hours of volunteer work.  Fill out an application form here, and if you have any questions, email Leah Gibson at region2@tofga.org. 


Regional Scholarship Application 
Scholarships of $300 are available for farmers who live within 400 miles of Austin. Scholarships will be provided as a full amount reimbursement after attendance at the conference; receipts will not be required. Up to 50% of the full scholarship amount may be requested as an advance. Recipients will be required to attend the LFPP (Local Food Promotion Program) lunch break out session on Saturday, February 3 from 11:30-1:00 pm
, during which participants will learn about the LFPP Central Texas Food Hub feasibility study as well as technical assistance on potential opportunities in wholesale markets. Apply here.
